Guillaume Jospin, MS

Guillaume Jospin is the Cyberinfrastructure & Data Management Officer for the NSF Center for Pandemic Insights. He develops secure, collaborative data ecosystems that empower researchers to manage and analyze large-scale genomic and environmental datasets. With a background bridging bioinformatics, software engineering, and research coordination, Guillaume focuses on building digital infrastructure that supports open science, reproducibility, and interdisciplinary collaboration in public health and microbiology.

Guillaume earned his B.S. in Bioinformatics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his M.S. in Bioinformatics from the Université Paul Sabatier III in Toulouse, France. He spent a decade in the laboratory of Dr. Jonathan Eisen at UC Davis, where he contributed to microbial genomics and metagenomics research, including the development of genome assembly (A5-miseq) and phylogenetic annotation (Phylosift) software. After advancing microbiome science in the pet health field at AnimalBiome, he returned to UC Davis to lead cyberinfrastructure efforts supporting NSF-funded research programs that connect data science with One Health and pandemic-preparedness initiatives.
